Sanvina

Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 September 2026

Sanvina is a travel app for sharing your journey, planning trips, tracking spending and staying safe on the road. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have.

What we collect

How your location is used

Location access is optional. When Share live location is on, your device location powers features such as the nearest hospital, your embassy, nearby travellers and local-currency detection. It is used on your device only, is not saved to our servers, and is never shown to other travellers.

A place name you choose to add to a post is saved with that post and shown to whoever can see the post.

Camera, photos and microphone

These are only accessed when you choose to take or attach a photo, save a photo to your library, or record a voice note. Media you attach is uploaded so it can be shown in your post or chat.

Where your data is stored

Your data is held securely with our backend provider, Supabase, and is encrypted in transit. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

What others can see

Your profile, posts and journey are visible to other Sanvina users. Setting your account to private limits them to followers you approve. Messages are visible only to the people in the conversation. Budgets and trip plans are private unless you share a trip with someone.

Outside links

Opening maps, insurance, flight or booking links takes you to third-party services that have their own privacy policies.

Children

Sanvina is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Your controls

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
